Broadway fans take note: there’s a great and free event you won’t want to miss! From September 30 to October 2, you can experience the Curtain Up Broadway Festival at the Theatre District!

On different stages you can watch various interactive events and performances of famous Broadway shows like CHICAGO, Wicked or Little Shop of Horrors – and all that for free.

Where does the Curtain Up Broadway Festival take place?

The event will take place at three different locations around Times Square:

  1. Mainstage in Duffy Square (7th Avenue & 46th St.).
  2. Belt it Out on Broadway Dueling Pianos (Broadway between 45th & 46th St.)
  3. Playbill Sing For Hope Piano (Broadway between 47th & 48th St).

When will the Curtain Up Broadway Festival take place?

The kickoff for the event is September 30, 2022 at 2 p.m. in Duffy Square. This is the area at the Father Duffy statue at the foot of the red steps at TKTS.

There will be nearly 20 performances through October 2, 2022. See the full lineup here.

Do I need tickets for the Curtain Up festival?

No, since it’s a free event, you don’t need to buy tickets. Check out the line-up here to find your personal highlights.

What else is there to look out for?

In addition to the event, some well-known restaurants and bars have come up with special menus and discounts that would be wonderful for you to try after your visit.
