Do you think you can’t experience the best of Paris in just a few days? Then think again. Paris is the most romantic capital in Europe, and maybe even the world, and there’s so much to see and do in Paris, with activities and attractions to suit all ages, preferences, and pastimes.

If you’re planning a trip to Paris, but you only have a few days to squeeze everything in, then the blog below is just what you need.

Plan ahead

If you’re only in Paris for a long weekend or a handful of days, you need to make sure that you plan your itinerary way before you leave. Ideally, you should know what you want to do each day and where you plan to eat. This will help you to save a lot of time and avoid unnecessary transit. It can also be a good idea to plan out your route for each day, avoiding the most crowded times when everyone is out and about sightseeing.

Make reservations

When it comes to excursions, attractions and even eating out, you need to make sure that you’re making reservations in advance. Not only will this save you time, but it will also save you money.

There are lots of travel planning websites where you can book tickets to all the most popular Paris attractions, such as the Eiffel Tower and The Louvre, with some great deals to be had when you book early.

Splurge rather than save

If you’re only in Paris for a short period of time and you want to be able to cram in as much as possible, the more spending money you have, the better. Think about it this way. If you want to fast-track a line, you need more money. If you want to jump in a taxi to shoot off somewhere, you need more money. In a nutshell, if you can afford to splurge, then do so!

Use the Metro

The Metro is the subway system offered in Paris and provides one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways to get around the city. Fast, reliable, and punctual, the only downside to the Metro is that it can get incredibly busy during peak times.

Another great option for getting around Paris is Paris hop on hop off bus tours that enable you to explore the city at your own pace for a fraction of the cost of booking a taxi or hiring a car.

Wear comfortable shoes

Even if you’re a whizz at using public transport in other countries, there’s still a lot of walking to be done when exploring a new city, and Paris is no exception. Therefore, you should invest in at least one pair of comfortable shoes before your trip and make sure that you break them in before you go.

However, don’t forget that the locals in Paris pride themselves on their sense of fashion, so try to pick footwear that’s comfortable but also stylish.
