Consistently named as one of the best Theater District restaurants, La Grande Boucherie is another French dining destination with the vibe of a classic steakhouse. With ample seating, the timeless bistro food along with seafood and dry-aged steaks are sure to indulge your palate. Be sure to grab something off the extensive drinks menu, particularly one of the absinthe-fueled cocktails.

    Tony’s Di Napoli

    Italian Restaurant in Theatre District

A lot like Carmine’s is Tony’s Di Napoli. Thanks to the friendly and cordial staff, we felt like we were in an extended Italian family. Pleasant atmosphere & hustle and bustle do it by the way. The portions are also large here, so that they are perfect for sharing. My tip: try the Frozen Peach Bellini as an aperitif!

    Haven Rooftop & Restaurant

    Rooftop Bar in Theatre District

In the heart of the Theatre District on Times Square you will find the Haven Rooftop & Restaurant. It is on the 10th floor of the Sanctuary Hotel at 47th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue and offers you a sensational perspective. Although it is in Times Square, it is surprisingly quiet. I love the mix of “being in the middle of the city” and “still having peace and quiet” – and that’s exactly what you can expect there.

    American Restaurant in Theatre District

In the Civilian Hotel in the Theater District, you’ll find Rosevale Kitchen on the first floor of this two-story establishment. Start at the Cocktail Room above or delve right into the kitchen for American fare with an elevated flair. The sommelier-curated wine list will surely pair perfectly with  your meal. With a setting akin to a Rockwell painting, it’s playful yet upscale all at once. Don’t miss the Caesar salad with a creamy, indulgent dressing. The orange duck and the blackened sea bass are other often raved about choices that will leave you with no regrets.

    The Lamb’s Club

    American Restaurant in Theatre District

New Yorkers know The Lamb Club for its historied past and distinctive decor. Inside, a roaring fireplace and red and black seating whispers of its past as an exclusive supper club. Outside, the stark white walls and red sign that’s been there since Broadway’s earliest days is instantly recognizable.

Amidst this clubby setting, is one of the best jazz brunch spots in New York City. The extensive menu has a full selection of traditional American fare like omelets, pancakes, avocado toast, and pastries if you like a classic brunch. There’s also oysters and caviar for when you’re in the mood for seafood. And a full bar means Bloody Marys, mimosas, and other cocktails are always on hand.

    Lillie’s Victorian Establishment

    American Restaurant in Theatre District

There’s something indescribably spooky about the Victorian era. The setting for so many of our Halloween classics, from Frankenstein to Dracula and more, this is one area that made the ghoulish traditions we have today really come alive.

That’s what makes Lillie’s Victorian Establishment such a great addition as a NYC Halloween theme restaurant. Created in honor of British actress Lillie Langtry, the restaurant is full of Victorian details like ornate wood carvings, an antique marble bar, and period-specific furnishings.

With menus for brunch and dinner and a long list of wines, beers, and cocktails available at both Union Square and Times Square, Lillie’s Victorian Establishment will make your Halloween weekend a special one.
