I love the many restaurants and bars that are located along the East River and Hudson River. For me, there is hardly anything more beautiful than to eat or drink something there while looking at the water. Not to mention the amazing skyline you can see while doing so.

What is Watermark on the East River?
Watermark is an American restaurant and bar in one, where you can get really tasty drinks (try the margarita!) and burgers. The shrimp with coconut breading is kind of a signature dish that I highly recommend.
Where is the Watermark Restaurant & Bar located?
Watermark is located at Pier 15 very close to the Brooklyn Bridge on the East River. You can’t miss it because it’s right next to the two-master at Pier 16 and the famous Pier 17 (definitely check it out!).
So if you’re looking for a spot that’s totally laid back and from which you can see the Brooklyn Bridge and watch the boats on the East River, you should definitely check out the Watermark.
What can you do after visiting the Watermark?
You have several options: if you are there in the evening and are looking for a bar to end the day, the Dead Rabbit Bar & Grog is my tip. During the day you can take a walk to Wall Street, the 9/11 Memorial or Battery Park. Or you can take the NYC Ferry to DUMBO. Only a few meters away they depart from Pier 11/Wall Street.
